i have got a 400ex and am going to be doing some flat track stuff this summer and was wondering if lowering the preload on my 400ex shock's whitch would make it lower to the ground would work?? or whould i use my 450r shock's for this?? if my idea won't work somebody give me somthing??? with out spending much money.

If you don't plan in hitting any medium to large jumps, then CRJ Performance makes lowering kits for the front and back that will lower your quad quite a bit.

yes well how permanent are they cause i'll be doing some motorcross this summer also so i'm really just looking for a easy fix.

5 min job to fit them and the same to remove them.

I'm not sure about the 400EX, but it is a snap to put them on and take them off on my Z400.

yeah i asked but they never replied. and i was just wondering if lowering the preload all the way down would work??? and widen it out with some spacer's???

if you lower the pre-load your shocks will be muchh softer so it will give you more body roll. i would just get the lowering kit.

but it will lower the atv right??? and what exacly is body roll?? like more side to side motion???

Body roll is when you hit a turn and the back inside wheel lifts off the ground. And yea i guess it would lower it a little bit but nothing like a lowering it would do
