The shaft that connects to the clutch cable, left side of machine.
Lets say you manage to spin it in a complete 180 and now it has free play and spins about half way around.
What do you think has happened?
And yes I did it and I am looking for some info on what I may have to do when I tear it down.

im having some clutch issues. theres no recoil on my shaft for some reason. I don't think they're supposed to be though because ur recoil relys on how beat ur clutch cable is. I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean how to get inside the motor?

the push rod that goes through the center of the clutches does not have tension on it.

I posted this in the other thing about the Z clutch issue, I think it applies here too...
Well, what I did to adjust mine was turned the shaft counterclockwise until it stopped then pulled the cable as far as I could, and turned the arm basically parallel with the frame. Put the arm down on the shaft keeping tension on the cable while putting the bolt back in the arm, then tighten 'er up. Once I got that done, I just fine tune the lever play on the bars up top. I don't know if it is right, but it works for me, I haven't had any problems with it not working.
Hope it helps.......
