My sons 300 steel tank has cracked in two places. I have repaired it but would like to go to a plastic tank.

Unfortunately I have the Lonestar anti vibe stem and so far the Clarke 2.7 and the ims 4.0 won't fit. Any ideas?? Honda wants over $ 400 for a new steel tank

Well there is a few options for you, that I can think of.

One, you could repair the tank you have and put a tank liner in the tank.

Two you could look for a factory replacement on ebay, it be cheaper the buying a factory from honda.

Or three you could carefully heat the aftermarket tank and make it fit around the aftermarket stem.

why won't the clarke fit? i've got one on mine and with my stock stem there's plenty of room. i wouldn't imagine it would be that much different with an aftermarket

The lonestar stem has the anti-vibe mount on top for the bars and the clarke tank has fingers that go forward and won't clear.

I guess i will just bit the bullet and buy a new tank. Of course around here i could pick up a whole bike up for $ 2000 and use the tank and maybe build another motor.

Thank you. I just bought the e-bay tank

I really wanted more capacity. The bike will barely run for an hour at full song. Some of our races are at 50 to 60 minutes and a pit stop is murder.
