Why wont my quad start in gear? (kfx450)

Could someone please tell me possibly why my quad wont start in gear. I have to always start it in neutral! Sry for the stupid ? any help yall could give me would be great.

The clutch switch is probably bad.

Check your wires that are coming off the clutch. Mine worked themselves loose over time. Push them back on, and try again.

cut the two wires and splice them together
