Hi I was wondering what would cause a flywheel key to shear? Is it cause its an old key or something mechanical? I rode my quad for a couple hours and the got gas and rode it 50 ft and it shut off. It wouldnt start. I took the valve cover off and it was not timed right with the spark so i took off the flywheel cover and when the motor is a TDC the fly wheel mark is at the bottom. I need to know what is causing this. Im going tommorow to get the flywheel pulled and get a new key. I hope this fixes it.
