I know that you can put 400ex a-arms a 250x/300ex with 250r shocks and not have to relocate the shock mount but can you use 250r arms with 250r shocks and still not have to relocate the mount. Thx

250R and 400ex shocks are almost identical in length! There is only like 1/4 in difference in length. You MUST relocate the upper mounts on your 250X/300EX using 250R/400EX shocks and arms for your quad to handle right.
250R a-arms are wider at the pivots than a 250X/300EX/400ex so they will NOT bolt up!

o i read in another thread that if yu used 400 arms with the r shocks you would not need to relocate the upper shock mount.

400 ex arms are the ones to use! the 250 R arms will bolt up, but the tops of your tires will lean out! Both the 400's and the R shocks are close in size, you'll need to relocate upper shock mounts for use of either one of them! I use the 88-89 style lower arms with the 400 upper arms on 1 machine, and my old stock length Lone Star 250 R arms on the other machine.

That was probably my post, I must have caused alot of confusion. The person I bought the shocks from said they were 250R shocks, so I believed him. They arent tho, they are most likely 300ex shocks. Sorry for the confusion

Oh, how long my shocks are? When I get them back, I'll measure them for you.
