I have some extra rims that came with my quad when I got it that have been painted and the look pretty darn good.I have not run the much but the paint seems to last good so far.

if you prep the metal properly the paint should hold up fine, lets face it, the life span of rims isn't that long.

then again its only paint, its not permanant, so if it chips and looks like crap you can always remove it and polish em' back up

cool let me know how it holds up. anybody ever try dupli color wheel paint. I know a guy that used it on a car and it covered real nice and has held up but the roads a little different from dirt

use a self etching primer. i did a rattle-can etch prime on my 16' aluminum duck boat and rolled on paint, and it's held up to sticks, rocks, ice, weeds, and whatever else you can think of in the marsh.

so i just did some gold rims i picked up for cheap the same way. lightly sanded, used etch primer, then brushed on a few coats of satin black paint. i don't have pics but its held up pretty good so far.

if you want real durability save some coin... there's always powdercoat.
