Im rejetting my kfx 400 and i put in a 25 pilot jet and a 170 main because i got an exhaust and new filter and when ever i let off the throttle it starts back firing. i think i need to mess with the fuel screw or pilot screw but im not sure. let me know if this is right and if possible post a picture to show me where the pilot screw is thanks nick p

Its a brass plug on the bottom of the carb. The plug has to be removed first in order to get to the pilot screw(if it hasnt yet). I would throw the 22.5 back in if worried about it.

you may or may not have to do the PJ ,its as simple as whether
or not its needed , the fuel screw will more than likely have to be turned ,like its been said if the plug is in the way it will have to be drilled to get it out. if the screw is turned more than 3 1/2 turns out then its time to go to a bigger PJ .
when i was still using the BSR carb i was using a #27.5 PJ ,but then mine was modded more extensively.
