Has Any one found a K+N air filter that will work on this. I know K+n Does not make a direct replacment for this machine. Was Wondering if anyone has cross referenced it to find one that works? Thanks in advanced!

i think the uni is a better filter.........and ive read on other sites that the stock filter is just as good as any.
i have a uni and really think it was a waste of money performance wise.

Maybe I will just stick with the stock one then. But I am interested in getting a prefilter I ride in really dusty conditions and figure the extra protection could help. Are they one size fits all or are they machine specific? If they are machine specific what will fit?

I thought about about a snork kit! I just wasnt sure if I wanted to go that far. Did that help with the backfiring issue that the 420 has? That is starting to get annoying!!

I will have to check into the power commander to see if I can run it with the stock pipe. The atv club that I belong to frowns on aftermarket pipes on the trails and could ban me from the trails if they wanted to. Thanks again for the input!

the power commander was the first thing i got.......and it really helped out.
even with stock pipe and airfilter.
you can map your fuel injection and it will run great.......and you cant mess up........dyno jet has a map for the stock pipe and airfilter so you would be ready to go.
just with the snorkel and PC3 it gave it a lot of torq.....the pipes kinda loud and you dont reaaly need it.

Is a certain brand of power commander better than another? About how much do they cost? And is it user friendly, could I do some of the programming myself?

you can program it in your house and than put it on or have the place you buy it from do.
with a laptop you can program it all you want and i have some custom maps that you arent going to find anywhere

Hey guys me and my buddy both have honda quads. I have the 500 and he has the 420, I also have a KFX400. We tried my K&N filter off the 500 on the 420 and it's to big. So we tried the one off my KFX400 and it fits on good.

Stay with a good foam filter, k&n's allow fine dust through.
