hey, im new in this site. i was over at atvconnection, and they couldnt answer me, so i tried here. when you take off the stock header, where are the gaskets found. i dont know what they look like, and sparks says to take them off. if someone could answer this, it would really help

i know that, i mean where is it? i took off my header, and i didnt see anything. did this happen to anyone else?

They should still be stuck to the head.

hey, are they made of metal? if they are, i found them, but how do i get them off, they are on their pretty good

sparks told me to take off the gaskets, and to just use silicone where they were. he said it works better

Those gaskets are made of copper. If sparks gave you an alternative to stock gaskets, I would personally try there way. New copper gaskets are a tad bit frustrating to put in.:D

why wouldent ya usem? is it because they hinder performance or cuz there a pain in the arse to get in?

Sounds like Sparks has proved that there sealant works better than the copper gaskets. The copper gaskets are larger in diameter than the exhaust ports on the head. The gaskets are needed to be "smashed" into place.

sparks told me the same thing too. he told me to screw the gaskets, and to use a silicone sealant in their places. did anyone else do this?

they need to be smashed onto the cylinder head, rite where the headpipe will go.
