I tore my quad down to get powder coated frame and i noticed i deffinetly need a new chain and sprockets. I have 20 inch kendas coming in the mail soon. So i need to change up the gearing. would 14 in front and 38 in the back be good???. thank you

I also have 20'' at the back and always ran standard 14/38 sprockets, but found that it did'nt want to rev out in top gear. In thick sand it was better running in fifth gear-because you start loosing revs (to little torque). I now changed to 13/38 and it is much better. Even in top gear it revs out and the top-end is also better-the torque is just right now and runs much better. You wont believe how much more power you will get with the 13 sprocket. I changed my piston last week and also ported the cylinder head, I am waiting on my new DASA pipe and will see if I have enough torque to run the 14 sprocket again after all the mods. Then my top-end might increase. If my Vapor clock is right,I am getting about 120Km/h (maybe 1 or 3 more).
