my bro hit a telephone post that was laying across the ground really close to the trail we were riding on. i was cruising in 5th, maybe 50mph, and he went to my right to pass me. i was slowing and looking back to signal to him about the post but it was too late. the girl riding with him flew about 30ft and landed in a clover patch luckily. she broke her collar bone. he didnt go anywhere, the bike caught the post and flipped over on top of him. the crash snapped the telephone post in half! ill post pics of the crash site when i get back from offshore, but heres a couple pics of his bike for now.

Whoever is in the picture with the quad looks drunk.:ermm:

And also, did this crash happen at night, because I see no headlights on the quad. Riding at night without headlights is just asking for trouble.

yep, he's piss drunk in the pic. the wreck happened at around 4pm while we were sober. he and i had been riding all day and WE DONT DRINK AND RIDE. the girl was tipsy, could be a reason she didnt get hurt worse than she did. i had to rush them to the hospital. he had a quarter sized hole in his arm from the controls on his handlebar (six stitches and a concusion) thank god for helmets. he felt really bad about the girl, might be why he drank so much that night.

and he HAD headlights, thats one hanging in the front pic.

hehe, told him he shoulda got a honda!

Idk but I have a feeling he was drinking I dont really bielive he wasn't. Maybe not but I dont see this happning at less your stupid in the head or have no brains. Normally stupid things like this happen when people drink and ride. I know of a guy that was drunk on a 3 wheeler and did basically the same thing. He hit one of them orange metal gates so cars cant drive in the trail and bent it almost down to the ground and totaled the 3 wheeler except for the engine and the gate was 15ft away from the 2 lain road and he flew over the road and landed back on the trail. The passenger was under the quad. The driver thought he was dead but only had a broken color bone and his shoulder was close to his neck. Both drunk and walked away. Any ways the good thing is 3 days after that the driver got his 5th DUI went to jail for "only" 12 months and he got out few months ago and quit drinking for ever now. I just read in the papers today and a guy with a 5th DUI got almost 3 years locked up for his 5th offense and almost a 5k fine!
:eek2:

And that guy looks like he is proud of crashing the quad

He's lucky the girl or him didn't end up paralyzed or worse!!!

It doesn't look to bad looks like it just needs a arms and shocks if the frame isnt tweaked. Good time for aftermarket!

Haha, I'm willing to bet that frame is more than just tweaked.

But I'm going to say your "bro" is a complete moron for passing you off to the right of the trail at 50mph with a drunk chick on the back? Use some common sense for **** sakes.

believe it or not, he was sober. we were riding on the side of a levee and the telephone post was laying on the ground, not stuck in the ground standing. the grass was just too tall to see it. could have happened to anyone, he was trying to show off for a chick!

the bike was totaled, frame was twisted pretty bad.

and he's not my brother, we just call people bro down here.

guy with the pants tucked in is my best friend, hunting, fishing, drunkaholic

Yeah agree about riding with a girl on the back.My ex girl freind knew about hitting the back brakes to bring down a wheelie. That kinda sucked. We always had fun though. My new girl freind.(Not really new now)Doesn't seem to interested in 4-wheelers which is cool with me!

When I was about 13-14 years old I had a yfm200.It was basicly an old school beartracker. It had blackwaters tires on the back. One day I was letting buddy drive and I was riding on the back.I don't remember why but he was.We where riding and my back foot hit the tire and I got sucked off the bike.It freaked my buddy out so bad he nailed the throttle and spun the blackwaters on the ball of ankle.I still got a scar 10 years later!

I've seen alot of people flip over backwards with 2 people on there.

Sucks about the wrecked yfz.Mine is about as useful right now!

Theres no problem with riding girls on the back. I use that to get *** all time. Just cuz u have a girl on the back doesnt mean u have to do something stupid. Just cruise fields, roads, trails. And dont forget to make a few friendly pit stops.;)

I don't mind riding chicks on the back.. In fact, I love it. I also don't mind night riding, but NO alcohol and its cleaned out go slow type trails. Yeah, the back brake thing. I would be lying if I said I never got a chin or helmet to the back of the head or neck. You just honestly have to use your head if you're going to be taking your own life AND someone elses in your hands. About the wreck. Yamaha frames and front ends are weak, I knew the frame would be bent.
