This conversion is done by lonestar, I'm looking at a quad that is around 3800 full mx setup. Just wondering if this mod is worth the money to spend on a 400 frame. It will be ensane power, but good frame. Powercoated and such, just need a opinion on it. I'm only looking for this quad as a practice bike only.

Thanks
Tyler

theres a guy on here named kodymx13 and he has a crf450r engine in a 400ex frame, ask him

I put a crf450 in my 400. If i can hold on to it it will run with anything on the track or in the wood. It handles better than a 450 and more power than a built 450.

Ya this engine is done by lonestar, their converstion engine and all. The only debate is. I'm getting a ktm sx450 come fall, and that engine is putting out 56 hp at drive. I looked at crf 450 hp outputs and it only outputs 50 max. hes the ebay link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_ATV-Parts-Accessories__HONDA-400EX-450R-CRF450-CONVERSION-LONESTAR-MOTOR_W0QQitemZ180248652566QQadnZATVQ20PartsQ20Q26 Q20AccessoriesQQadiZ2869QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item18 0248652566&

3800 dollars for JUST the frame, motor, carb and exhaust? I sure wouldn't get it.

im not quite sure. mine came ready ro bolt in from jb. but for a stock ex frame theres alot of fab work to be done. theres posts all over the hybrid forum. motor, elec, carb, radiator, motor mounts, i used a 04 05 450r exhaust, a good welder and band aids.
