I need some help with how much this 1999 Honday 300 fourtrax ATV is worth, the guy is askin 2000 , which he paid 2000 two years ago. He is putting new brakes f/b and two new wheel drums (f). Brings me to my question. Is this a good deal? Is this worth it?

The previous owner before him disabled the 4 wheel drive so that hasnt even been really used. When this guy bought it he re-enabled it and I would be the 3rd owner.
Doesnt look beat .. and runs good.
THANKS for responding!!

My parents have one and its really a nice machine. Handles well, turns nicely, isn't tiring, and does what it should. Much better than the 2001 Wolverine that I had. That thing was a workout to steer.

Those model Honda are some of the most reliable atv's made. My uncle has one, and has never had one single problem. Always starts up within seconds, even in the dead of winter. It's worth $2000 in my opinion, but I wouldn't go much over that.

My dads 96 300 4x4 sold on e-bay last spring for the $3500 buy it now option. It was in perfect shape. I think the $2000 for the one your looking at is a good buy. The 300 Honda is a tuff little machine.

She's definatly seen some mud (I'd be worried if it didn't lol), but looks to be in great shape.

I agree that $2k is a reasonable price assuming the motor is in good shape. But, I'd imagine it's got a ton of life left in it.

Looks a hell of a lot better then mine does, I'd say 2000$ is a good price, although I'd upgrade the front rims to 12" and put the disc brake option on, the drums suck... I'm doing it to mine since the brakes are totally shot.

My 300 has been though hell and back and everything works awesome except the electrical system which my sister messed up while I was at college

I have a 1999 and it is the most reliable machine I have owned it was beat to hell and back and the only problem was a blown gasket on this little cap on the top of the head but it was like a 10 minute fix. The onlything I wish mine had was a stabelizer and tad more power for hills.

Thanks bunches everyone and i will def think about changing rims out and disk brakes sounds like a good plan when this set wears out. The guy told me that this will be the 3rd set of brakes this bike will have had and with Rip_Tears post, it sounds like it does that with this model... I dont think she will beat it but then again she loves mud!!:devious
