valve adjustment for unknown cam!!

okay, so i'll be doing a little work on my 300's engine soon and i want to adjust my valves... thing is, i'm pretty sure my cam is aftermarket but i don't know what it is!

how would i go about adjusting my valves?

0.004" intake and ehxaust.

The low point on the CAM (valve closed) is generally in about the same spot. So you have the same amount of expansion from heat there. About 75% or more of the expansion comes from the valve itself. More heat, and longer length of material for expansion. If you are using stock valves that is unchanged.

Unless you are running titanium valves, 0.004" should work just fine as the expansion should be within 1% of stock.
