got a 05 with full dasa..hcs1..an jetted..problem is it has no power..its still lean so i kno i gotta mess with the jets but its so pitiful it wont pull up in a wheelie in 2nd gear an has no where near the power it had which its not been rode in a couple of months..do u guys think since its runnin real lean thats robbing power or do u think im losing compression somewhere?

Running extremely lean can cause power loss yeah.
Whats your jetting?

Also check your exhaust packing, that blowing out is due for a few HP.
Dasa's need to be repacked quite often.

Few months ago my bike was also low on power like urs, could hardly pull it up in 2nd. I repacked the exhaust and swapped out the carb, now its a beast.

Bike have many hours on it?

in my bros 450 with the hc1. i noticed it makes ALOT of power down low but once u get to abotu midrange it falls flat on its face. liek if your riding a wheelie its easy to start it but u cant ride it out until about midrange int he rpms

Since it's been sitting for a long time just try cleaning the carb, putting fresh gas in it, and making sure the jets aren't clogged.

Id go to your local honda dealer and check how much compression its supposed to have. then compression test it. It would most likely be that or valves rather then jetting or packing.

rididng with guys with 06's and newer?

My 04 motor is a dog too... full motorworks exhaust, jetted, 11.5.1 je, hc2,etc... Poopy. I should of went with a higher comp piston and ported the head.
