Hi,

I would like to know if anyone tried this setup before and if it could last.

Thank you,

y! Just buy the studs. Doing things half assed never got anyone anywhere.....why do you want to tear down a motor once a week due to blow head gaskets? Kinda dumb if you ask me

Man, you're comin a lil bit late! I've ordered them already, I don't think it will be a waste of money anyway.

Now, I forgot to order the form tap. :ermm:

Edit : Anyone used silicone in their threads? I used to put some blue locktite on my head nuts.

Just have a local shop drill them out for you....

Just to make sure : do I need to drill the head holes for the HD studs?

have a machine shop drill and roll tap the studs in.

you CAN do it by yourself but you need dead on precession and it has to be the perfect specs, better off paying 100$ for a pro to do it

Yeah, but do I need to drill the holes bigger in the cylinder head too?

Well, I'm talking about the holes in the head which is at the right of that pic :

Just to make sure that we are talking about the same thing. :)

I just sent my cylinder to gt thunder to get the HD headstuds put in. Its $55 for the studs and $59 for the install, and he is the one who makes the studs.

Ok, so it means that only the cylinder has to be modified, not the head cylinder. I have found someone here I Quebec that can install it for me.
