Hey guys. this weekedn my chain got so loose it came off. Had to tow the honda home and it dragged the chain the whole way. so the 6yr old stock chain is pretty stretched and ruined and its time for a new one.
Im gonna buy a sidewinder smartchain and i just need to know how many pounds i should get it for. My 400ex is stock and im probly not going to mod it at all. so im thinking the smallest rated 520 chain will work right?
and how many pins does the chain have? 94 links=188pins?
what tools do i need to put it on?

use the same links as the old one. i would get the best you feel comfortable buying. they usually come rounded to the 10ths so you need a chain beaker or take it to a place that has one and have them bust it were you need.all you will need to put it on are maybe a screw driver , pliers and some allens for the carrier to adjust it

FYI.....you should change your chain and sprokets more than once every 6 years...lol

94 links means 94 pins
