ebay quad 470cc bore?????????

check out this ebay item. the seller says this is bored to a 470...im calling major BS anyone ever heard of this???

Quad looks unmaintained and looks like the head gasket is leaking, I would'nt buy it and I doubt it has a 470 in it.

no. There isn't a 470 kit. A 460 is the biggest I have seen, and you have to use a stroker crank to even get that much displacement. There is no way that the cylinder is bore that far over, and if it is, the guy is riding a ticking time bomb!

well i sent the guy a message telling him there was no such thing. if you notice now he changed the description and said he was checking with the engine builder :D

Four Stroke Tech has a 500cc BB stroker but i've never heard of a 470 kit, sounds like the guy has no idea about the quad.

yeah....I sent him a message too. Don't bust his balls to hard. Everything was explained to him. He edited the listing. His son is the one who told him it was bored to 470, and we all know how tricky displacement can be if you don't know what you are talking about. Most people think that if you bore a cylinder .20 over, it adds 20cc to the displacement.....when in fact, it doesn't even come close, as most of us know.

I told him that the ticking noise is probably a valve adjustment problem, because mine does the same thing and my dad says its the valves.

ya the biggest thing i have ever seen was a 460 stroker.

Sparks makes a pistion that is a 465 kit its a 92mm bore i blieve its just the pistion no stroke. And you cna get quite a bit bigger than a 460 with a stroke and bore.

thanks blue ex maybe thats what it is. wasnt really bustin the guys balls, i just find it interesting how displacement numbers always get exaggerated so much

NP That could be it but i highly dount he has that either. i would guess that its a common bore sizw like 416 426 or 440 but I guess you never know.
