Hi,

What setup would be best for me?

I'm actually going to 416 and wanted to know which setup I should use.

- 87mm JE 12:1;
- 87mm Wiseco 11:1 with my advance timming key (sparks) that I don't have installed yet.

I don't think I could install it with my 12:1, (if i go with it)... Right?

Thank you for your help.

i'd say 11:1 becuase of overheating.. unless you have a fan and a bigger cooler..
i got bigger oil reserve and 2 mini fans on my mini cooler.. so i was running 12:1 but i went down to 11 to keep it cool

Sparks says not to use the key with anything other than stock compression due to heat issues. I have run 11:1 and 12.5:1 and had no issues with either and got a little more low end out of the added compression of the 12.5:1. They both ran roughly the same temp all the time. If you have it jetted right with some good oil, you will be fine. You just have to run race gas and hd studs with the 12:1.

i have to say this so much i might as well put it in my signature lol When I called Curtis Sparks and asked about the key, I asked what is considered high compression and they told be 12.5:1 but with the added heat from the overbore maybe go 10:1 compression witht he key. Call them and ask. It doesnt hurt to ask the people who made it.

I did ask them, and they told me do not use it on anything over stock compression.
