so i bought an 06 ltr450 ands the guy before me was alil heavier and i noticed he had two master links..dont know if it come like this stock..but the chain is really lose when im on it and i tried takin a master link out but then it was too big of a gap for me to connect the chain agian..anyone know how i can fix this?

is there a chain tentionser on these bikes?

there is no tensioner, and to be safe, go buy a new chain.

you do know you can tighten the chain right? a stock chain doesnt have any master links in it at all, thats why you usually have to cut a stock one off or grind a link out then put a master link in it

thats what i was tryin to do..when i bought mine it had 2 masters and i just wanted to try takin one out and i did but then the gap was too big and it wouldnt reconnect..but everyone here told me that i should just get a new chain

I think why everyne agrees that with a heaver rider the chain will stretch so buying a new chain would be a good Idea. Now once you cut the link out did you adjust your chain all the way in before trying to re attach the chain or did you just try putting the shorter chain on with out adjusting it all the way in. If you just bought it I would invest in a manual it has a lot of great stuff in it.

ya im not new to quad or anything ..just suzuki;s lol and ya i just dont get y he put two masters on there and it like all i need is a half link out and it would be good
