400EX parking brake

I just traded for an '04 400EX and the parking brake needs adjusted. I don't have a service manual or owners manual for it. Can anyone please tell me how to adjust the parking brake.
Ok, I KNOW everyone says to take the thing off, but I like having the brake. I use it.

if its still there you just turn the wind nut on the back

but i would check the pads because they dont last long

the best way to adjust is to take it off and put on a block off plate...
