hole in head ?????????

Ok i have a 2006 yfz450 the other day i was in the rev limiter pretty hard and noticed oil smoke coming from top of the motor. on the right side up front on the head their is a nickel size hole looks like their was a plug their. just need some info thanks

your bike probably has probably blown out the plug yamaha put in the heads when they started using auto decompression cams. i might be wrong because i thought that they only had those style heads on the 03 and 04 dirtbikes. that definatly sounds like what happened but i could be wrong. If it is gytr sells a kit to fix it for good.

Your bike may be a 2006 but if that's the case, your motor or the head on that motor is an 04. No biggie. You need to order what is called a decompression plug for them. They sell them on ebay for like $10.
