I beleive its a lsr frame swinger? im not positive tho. any help identifying it would help. I just picked it up from the powdercoater 2 days ago..

what do you think i could get for it?

Well the part that connects to the frame doesnt have a gap in the middle where the rear motor mount sits?

that led me to beleive its an lsr framed swinger.

88-89 swingers dont have a gap ,there are different mounts on an 88-89 frame.

its missing the point where the linkege connects, that shold stick up above the swinger alittle. Notice how the shock mounts seams to be in the middle of the swinger, toward the back. This leads me to believe its for no-link.

it is a no link but does that mean it wont work?

Like Deathman53 said. It does look like a no link LSR swingarm. Im pretty sure unless you have a no link frame you wont be able to use it. They usually go for $2-300, depending on condition etc.....

mine is, its for a lsr baja no-link crf450r motor frame. I believe its a 03 frame and swinger.

So what would stop be from using this swinger on my 86? Can you not run a no link on a stock frame?

the only problem we've seen is the rear engine mount.

there were some no links made for stock frames but i dont know how to tell the difference, you could try calling lsr, maybe.

so is there anyway to identify the swing arm for sure? or atleast know if i can use it or not?

Unless you weld in a top motormount to your 86 frame to mimic an 88/89, and find a no link shock that will work for the stock frame...?

i have the shock. came with it when i got it. So i'd have to fab up a rear motor mount?

Ok, you confused me on that one. Do you mean the headstay? Or the rear mount for the 88/89's.

OP, just to let you know. I run an 88/89 Laeger swinger on my 250r with no problem. I do not run a rear mount but I run the other 3 and it seems to hold up very nicely so far

so whats the thought on my running this with no motor mount? Think it will work?

yeah my bad, i didn't mean the headstay.

There are 2 mounts on th e back of the motor and the 88/89 style uses only the top one if i remember correctly.

And i suppose you COULD use the other three mounts and not the back ones, but i really wouldn't want to do that myself.
