Does anyone else have troubles getting it into neutral? If so, how did you fix it? I have a 96 300ex

I have the same problem, I figured out that if you rev it with the clutch in in 1st gear, then let off while you try to find neutral, it usually will then get it, usually I get frusterated and then shut it down then find neutral

Yeah.. I usually end up reaching over with my right hand and pull it up into neutral. I bought a 400ex and my girlfriend is riding my 300ex. She gets pretty pissed off about it and then I have to push her off a tree or log...

your clutch plates need to be replaced. They are probably worn pretty bad. the plates move apart a little bit when you rev it up, making it easier to get into neutral.

More than likely your basket has ridges in it, you can file them of replace the basket if its too bad.

yea , odds are your clutch basket is grooved, this time you can probably just file it smooth.
