Anyone in the Real Estate Business?

My brother is thinking about getting into Real Estate after he is done University (he is doing a Psychology degree with a minor in business). He wants to start off by being an Agent than hopefully opening his own brokerage later on if everything pans out. Right now, real estate is unreal in Alberta which is why he wants to get into it.

His question is (if you are in Real Estate), how do you like it? Is there any advice you could give him when first starting out? Any advice at all would be great.

I am a real estate appraiser. Been in it 4 about 5 years. If he likes real estate and catering to people, he will do well. My advice would be to get in with a big company for a couple years and learn the tricks from the older people there. He just needs to make sure he keeps all his contacts so if he goes out on his own he has a base.
