Hey guys, I was just wondering what a set of good matched cases are worth. No broken bolts anywhere, not even at the case saver. Also, it's never been machined for a big bore, it's all original. Anyway, just trying to figure out what they'd be worth. Thanks

Engines are pretty easy to come by, you can find a complete running engine for $800-$1000. Non-running or partial engines are even cheaper, you can generally find a complete bottom end for $500 or so.

Because of this, engine cases aren't super valuable. Brand new they are about $700 for the set, but because you can find a complete lower unit for cheap, cases themselves rarely go for over $250 a set, and that's if they are verified by a professional to be in "great" shape, no hairline cracks around the bearings, ect ect.
