How stupid would a red HMF muffler look on a yellow 400 ex? Im looking to buy one from a buddy, but not sure about the color. Does anyone know if the red is painted on or if it is some type of sleeve.

Personally, I like the color combination of yellow and red, as my 400ex has that combination. I saw a quad done by Roll Design on the internet that also has that combination, and I like it.

I didnt mine the red/yellow combo on my quad but I switched to yellow/blue combo cuz I've done lots of photochop pics and blue looked the best.

yeah no kiddin!! I probably wont put anything else on it thats red, thats why I thought it would stand out.

i dont think the paint would hold up well unless you scuff the surface then paint with high temp. then if it comes off you will have a crappy looking $200 pipe. if you want the pipe id say get it regardless of color. in the future you can add other red things that will help it out

i think it would look ssssexy, and i am for anything that makes a bike look one-of-a-kind...so i would do it

I bought it. I saw a pic of another quad that is the same colors on another thread and it looks pretty good. Thanks for the opinions guys.
