nah, just like with a standard car. if u get the rpms high enough u can just shift up. DONT shift DOWN without the clutch.

my 07 ran perfect and never had any problems shifting that way, and we stunt quads all the time, Just make sure keep eye on oil and brakes

if your fast enough its not that hard to give the clutch a pull too... just gotta be back far enough as to be able to balance for the split second your off the gas

I use the clutch when shifting gears in a wheelie. I don't use to clutch always when I downshift and have never had any trouble. I make sure i'm off the gas though.

its is hard but after some practice and you figure nout how to do it, its really cool

I used to shift my streetbike through 2nd,3rd,4th in a wheelie and everyone thought it was cool....It was really because I wasn't that good at balancing a wheelie and had to power through it. Now I'm more into controlling the balance point and throttle so I can wheelie as long as I wish. Shiftings not hard with a little practice but be careful not to be jerky or you'll end up on the ground.

apply upward pressure on the shifter while you are on the throttle, blip the throttle(let off slightly, then bring it back to the same place)

You wont loose much ground speed that way.

practice shifting like that on flat ground first to get a feel for it.

make sure you engage the next gear completly.

it depends on what kind of clutch u have. my new quad has a nice smoth clutch that i can pull with 2 fingers so i when i shift in a wheelie i can use the clutch very easily. i always keep 2 fingers on the clutch anyways especially when im wheeling so i guess its all preferance because u can also powershift (not using clutch) but you have to do it at the right rpms.

shifting comes easy with practice i would work on your balance point once you get that you can slow down a wheelie stop it if your good enough any one can do power wheelies slow speed wheelies are way more impressive in my book

i never use my clutch when i ride in genaral i do on my holeshot and coming out of hairpins it realy easy the other hting with the wheelie u have to be at ur balnce point or close to it other wise ur fron ends ganan come down as soon as u let off the gas

get it up in 1st gear, make yourself shift into 2nd when your on the balance point and do the same all the way up to 5th gear. repeat. sooner than later you will be pounding gears up and down with your front end up. and train yourself to keep your left foot over the brake as much as you can. repetition is all it is, get comfortable on your balance point and the rest will follow. as stated above, your balance point doesn't require alot of throttle, if your holding the front end up with the throttle your not really on the balance point... Do you guys let off the gas while shifting up without the clutch during a wheelie ?
I always tried with the clutch and the wheelie always goes down when I pull it lol
