well idk if this has been done or can be done but i was wondering if i can buy a motor out of a 450r and swap it into my 250x...its sad when I'm getting wasted by 125cc dirt bikes so i wanna switch it up and what would i need and what would i have to do to make it work. any one of knowledge of this id appreciate it

I am sure it can be done one way or the other.. There is just enough room in a 400ex or 250R and the 300 frame is much smaller.. wouldnt be too easy to get it to fit in there, but anything can be done with enough modifications.:D

If you're looking for a really easy swap that will give you a good boost in power, look into the 350X. You can actually buy a kit for this conversion, complete with exhaust. A little grinding on one motor mount, and it bolts right up.

It isn't as fast as the 450s, but a few bucks into modifications on the 350X motor, and it will pump out all the horsepower that little 250X frame can handle.

yea i think youd be better off building a 350x motor, i just think the 450r motor in that frame will lead to dissapointment,, thats alot of power for that chassis to handle

they have all kinds of upgrades for the 350 motor, too. that place is awesome for the more old school quads and trikes that are kind of hard to find stuff for. they even have a pretty neat CLEAR airbox cover with holes in it for the 300 lol

I know some 125 dirt bikes that can take my 450R so dont expect too much...
