any chevy 6.5 turbo diesel owners

i just bought a a chevy 6.5 turbo diesel 95 with only 161,000 miles and its a half ton! yes its a half ton they only made them 2 years 94 and 95 alot of people never seen them in that size but basicly its just a heavy half with a big 14 bolt rear end but was waonder if they make and porforamce stuff for these?

yours is a 95 so I think it has the PMD on the fuel pump or is it mechanical. Go ahead and buy you a remote kit. As many people think the injector pump has went out when it's only the PMD (even mr goodwrench makes this misstake)

Also google Heath diesel. Those guys are great.

I would also recomend a mechanical waste gate....the stock vacum pump will not last long.

If the ignation hasn't been changed then get ready, they usually go out about 150,000.

I would also recomend getting a fan off the duramax. The 6.5 likes to overheat when pulling.

I really liked my 6.5, it had lots of power and was fun to drive. I finally got tired of fixing things and sold it. I now have a 7.3 powerstrock.
