First XC race of 07 everyone was giving me hell cause i said i was gonna hang back on the start I lied went on and would of won the race but the clutch let loose.....

Yeah ive never got a Holeshot:( (yet) but thats 1 of my best starts, i guess that can count:)

Scro, If you can pull holeshot at a national, y didn't you ever do any better at holeshot at the midsouths? You had some straight up bad luck this year, but I did too. I locked up my 05 on the last lap of gamaliel. Missed Lorettas.:mad:

That's what a kicker and built motor will do for you. I was running my 07 E-start bullchit at the midsouth this year. Never got any better than third out of the hole.

I'm either going to make some revisions to the e-start, or buy the parts for the kicker.

My luck was terrible this past season. My 05 locked up also because the drain bolt fell out at the second race - DNF. Switched the suspension over to a brand new 07, and dropped a balljoint the following race - DNF. Battery drained itself one race - DNF. Went to a buddy race and broke a chain while we were in first - DNF. Had two flat tires on the same side of the bike at Loretta's but still managed 5th.

I'm taking the time now to get my suspension and starts dialed in - I'll be ready for next season;)

The guy that usually got holeshot in your class at mid-souths was on a worn out 05. He's a pretty good friend of mine. My only holeshot of the year was Crofton, on a 400ex, and no pictures of it. I'm bout to tear into my bike. Haven't touched it since I got it home from the race and washed it. Hope to have my motor built a little and GT thunder suspension. I'll be in 16-20B next year, I'll look for ya and say hey.
