what is a good overall performance enhancer for the 250. i noticed it seems a little sluggish compared to my blaster, but it is a 2-stroke, i know. i'm thinking more along the lines of a cam upgrade or a crank upgrade, not too much with the piston and bore though, but what do you think is better: an all-around shaft upgrade, or a bigger bore & piston? and what kits are the best?

start with an hmf full exhaust, air filter, and jet kit, and that will wake up the 250. Then add tires, especially the rear to enhance cornering, and then if you dont have enough power than get mods for the internals of the engine.

i already have an fmf powercore 4 slip-on and a 110 main jet and 40 pilot w/ airbox lid removed. the next thing would probably b the air filter.

well a hmf full is a better idea then ur slip on thats my opinoin i would sell the slip on nand buy a hmf full

yeah any exhaust will do. but you have a slip on so your not getting much of a gain with the stock header being so small. Try a full system, HMF is great and pretty cheap. K&N with outerwears. Bump up the main. See how it runs if you want more cam and piston.

what do u guys think i could get for my slip-on? it has 10 hours or less on it. also, what main jets do you guys run 4 your hmf full systems? 108 or 110 or something because like i said before i have a 110 main and a 40 pilot. according to the performance thread, that is correct.

If you don't want a huge project, don't get a cam. They aren't overhead in the 250

You can take this to be done at a local honda shop for a quoted $70 if you dont wanna do it yourself. Or take it to a reputable backyard mechanic.
