I have a 135 main jet (stock is 130) and I was woundering if I could run my Z without the end cap spark arrester. Or is this bad for it? I just want to try it and see what kind of gains I would get from it.

Thanks :D

i had it out on my xr100, and it didn't seem to hurt anything. you should just wait and get and aftermarket pipe because i've heard that it could burn the valves. but i have no real proof of it doing any harm but i really don't know if it could hurt anything either. i only ran the bike like that for a little while, but it did give noticable power in the high end.

How would it burn out the valves? By just removing the SA?

Thanks

You can take it out but you should re jet.

Cause it can burn the valves like JB said. I wish i knew why but i just know it can.

it's alot like running open headers. it does the same thing. a lot less back pressure.
