Hey there im new to the forum, i have a '06 400ex and recently i noticed my engine starting to smoke from mid rpm to redline. it first started when i did a cheap oilchange (valvoline 10-40) i have a full yosh rs-3 system and a dynojet kit so i thought it was just jetted incorectly so i messed with that a while and finally just gave up and put stock pipe and carb settings back on, after that i did a oilchange with honda hp4 it seemed to help no smoke or just not noticeable, well today i was gonna ride for a while so i went out and fired it up, and of course its smoking again. So now i guess i will have to rebuild so i was looking for some suggestions for an engine build up, my main target for a little boost in power is i want some more low end torque. so any comments and ideas are welcome, thanks.

My 06' started smoking (white) on start up and quick throttle blips. The valve seals were the main cause but, the compression test numbers were a little low too so I decided it was time to replace the valve seals and at the same time I bumped it up to a 11:1 416cc piston with Stage 1 Hotcam. I also installed a heavy duty cam chain while I had it torn apart.

GT Thunder 452cc conversion and a head overhaul with a port and polish and cam. Mine is quicker than a 450r and I can't ride for sh!$!!
