Our next bacth of 50s will be here shortly...

They will be 44" Wide and have the 21 Sunworld power jet carb, square tube swingarm, hardened gears and I think a slipper sprocket stock.

They will not be ATVA approved since they are 44"wide, but these are stock from the factory this way

This allows them to be upgraded to a 70cc racer with just a top end swap.

A note for the NEATV racers:

We will also be able to provide these 50s with 41" wide set ups & with the stock swingarms when required by local rules.

It sure is funny how some people have nothing better to do but cause a ruckus..

I am surprised some of these tracks/promoters even allow mini quads to race anymore.

Funny how a thread about how great the new Apex 50s are is posted and now that DRR tries to help provide a competing product then that is a problem too.

Just can't win sometimes?

Rest assured we will make the units legal at the time of sale.

Howard and I spoke yesterday :)

I like it when you hear about the apex dads protesting the oil injection on the DRR. Or lack there of, I should say.

Gary, is this something that should be legal for the 09 season then? Also I assume one could just bolt the arms on an 07 and make one for 09, I just may not want to have to buy new bikes again next year is why I ask.

Thanks, Corey

Not atva legal. But legal for most local series since it is a factory option

4/1 offset wheels would make it 41 wide.

The a arms from the 07 will not work on the 08, and if the 09 frame did not change then they will not work on the 09 either. The front of the frame is different. The rail in which the arm mount is located on the inside of the frame on the 07 and on the outside on the 08 & and I am assuming the 09. Therefore, your 07 upper arms would be too long by about 1 1/2 inches.

Gary, please correct me if I am wrong. Oh, and Gary, please call me. 214-477-1879.

Thanks, JR

I'm confused!!!! (not uncommon for me!)

But.... From what I have read, (have not seen one in person) the Apex 50 is 41" and this "special batch" of DRR 50's is 44" for use in places where they run modified 50 classes and to build to 70's or whatever, but there is still the "ATVA legal" 41" DRR's available right?

So, how did all this ever become an "issue"?

And what is with the square tube swing arm? I thought that the square tube was just a factory replacement to the +2 stock ones, because some people were bending them? (just a matter of DRR seeing a potential problem, and stepping up to fix it. Thank you DRR, very commendable!)
Didn't the newer 50's come with the same +2 swing arm as the 90's??

I guess I should just shut up and and be glad that we aren't in the 50 classes any more!!

from what I understood and I may be way off

The Apex 50's are really 44 wide but they switch the offset and it is 41 wide. The DRX 50's that are 44 wide can do the same thing.

I too understood the square tube swingarm to be a replacement on all models to correct the issue of bending swingarms.

I am so glad I am done with the 50's..........

41 wide and short round swinger will be an option for these units

Then when you upgrade to a 70 you don't have to buy another quad

I hope is trying to help parents and riders doesn't become a problem

Does the square tube swingarm on the existing round tube models need to be purchased, or can a replacement be requested BEFORE it bends??

Not all have bent

It is handled case by case

Call your dealer of purchase or DRR to check
