Fender cut

[Gatekeeper]

Well I did it. After thinking about it for months and laying em out countless times I finnaly said the hell with it and gave em the chop. Still need to a little fine tuning on the edges. Let me know what you think!

Thats what I got so far. Still need to smooth the edges, figured Id ask for input/suggestions to any tweeks needed before I finish sanding em.

Thanks buster & 434. Only took about a dozen heinekens to get up the nerve to do the first cut:D
What do ya think about the bottom rear of the front fender? Dont know if to leave it as is or trim it as well.
I did most of the cuts using a heated utility knife. Pain n DaAsh. Switched to using a fine tooth hacksaw blade. Cut much cleaner and faster and was able to flex the blade to cut curved lines.

looks cool gatekeeper. i did my fronts and love it. once you ride it youll be kickin yourself in the arse for not doing it sooner. youve inspired me to do my rears as well.

i took mine and started to round it off right after i got a little past the plastic bolt there and rounded it up to where the side black plastics start. I like it.

thanks guys. basically on the rear i cut about a inch off all the way around, and squared the up. then "i have a size 13 gaerne" i trimmed up so i had enough room. on the front i just cut about and inch and a half at the top then tapered it down. then followed that line right below the warning labels. i just wanted it to look like no other 400ex. im not a huge fan on the stock back fenders so i went to work. now people have no clue what it is.

o i used a diegrinder with a thin cutting wheel. its magic. then a file after.
