timing key question on a 400ex...

i have an 02 400ex with the 416 kit in it, full exhaust, stage 1 cam, intake and some other goodies. WHat im getting at is, can i put a timing key in it with these mods? I read somewhere that having a bigger piston and things like i have arent recommended due to over heating issues?? Is this true????

The thing that is most important is compression ratio. If you are at 11:1 or higher, it isn't recommended to install the advance key.

I called Curtis Sparks asking them several question about the key. I need to call again to ask some more but I specifically asked what do you guys consider high compression so you cant run the key. They said 12.5:1
