i bought a 300ex and it had been sitting with no one riding it so i got it and it would start but would backfire and make a lot of popping noises. i cleaned out the carb today and it sounded a little better almost wanted to idle but not quite. i opened up the top and noticed the valve springs in the back i could not move and the springs in the front i can move easily. my question is could this make it run bad like this? if not what else could it be? maybe i didn't clean the carb good enough? it did make a big difference when it came to it almost idleing but didn't stop the popping.
