Will a 450r Stock Air filter be the same as a stock 400ex?

like the title says... Will a 450r Stock Air filter be the same as a stock 400ex air filter? If i ahve all stock parts on my 400ex and i put on a 450r stock air filter, would i have to rejet? or could i just use a stock 148 main? If not, where can i get a cheap stock 400ex air filter?

i think they're about the same size, i dont know first hand if they would fit but i think it might. you would not have to rejet for just an air filter, especially a stock one. im just curious, but why would you want to do this anyways?

They are the same. I recently purchased a 450R air filter to put in my 400EX and they are identical.

according to what UNI lists, the 400ex and the 04-05 450R are the same. dont know what the difference is for 06-07 though.

edit: i just looked up the stock part numbers, and they are different for each quad. this doesnt mean it wont fit though.

I want to do this because i parted out my 400ex and i do not have a stock 400ex filter, but my friend does do ill just use his 450r one.

I think the 450R filter I got for my 400EX was fron a 2005.
