I know most of you are probably tired of answering questions about mufflers, but.. I have read some of the old threads on which ones people think are good, but what about ones to avoid? I am looking to buy a muffler in the next couple of days and I have no clue about exhaust. I only want to spend less than $200. Any opinions would be great?

And to show that I really dont know anything about quads.. what does slip on exhaust mean?

well the best for around 200 would be an hmf new on ebay there like 212
slip on just means they slip on the stock header

a slip on is when you just buy the muffeler that fits right onto your stock headpipe. mine had a DG on it when i first got it and it wasnt until i switched to FMF til i realized that the DG wasnt heloing me much with power. the new ones may be better however. proly my favorite look and sound is the full yosh system. but it will be more $$ than you wanna spend. imo too many people have the hmf, but it is proly your best option for the money

How load are they? I want it to be load, but not extremely load. I ride around the house sometimes and I dont want the neigbors calling the cops.

sorry to kinda get off topic guys but while you are talking about exhausts, how much of a difference does a full system make over jsut a slip on? keep in mind im going to be running a 460 stroker kit.... does the standard header on the ex flow any good?

If you're going 460 stroker...i imagine a full system is almost a MUST.

As for 450R loudness lvl, if they're pissed off with the stock exhaust...i wouldn't consider riding it around your house with an after market one, nearly EVERY after market pipe you get will be significantly louder than the stocker. Especially an HMF full system. They'll probably have an aneurysm.
