View Full Version : No Clutch Adj left?

Well after I got my motor put in my quad and all that good stuff I started to adjust the clutch but i'm very puzzled to why theres so much cable? the clutch lever doesnt even retract i'm thinkin I stretched my cable but everything was all fine and dandy when I loosened up the cable when I first started my tare down. I even am outta adjustment by the lifter so something is really FUBAR.

Heres some pics but IDK if they will do any justice, Does my lifter look seem in the right position?

how much free play do you have in the lever before you start to feel the clutch disengage?

Alot! I can pull the lever and it barly pulls the lifter arm forward. I have a MSR adjust on the fly clutch perch and the knob thing comes off where it turns. I was talking to a friend of mine and I showed him a pic of it and he said the lifter should be back toward the right rear tire. I'll probably just pull the cover off tomorrow and see what the heck is going on, maybe the lifter switched around on me and went the wrong way.

There is a big washer, spacer dealy that goes in there, I think behind the basket....

between the basket and pressure plate. Should give you the adjustment your missing.

Is there anyway that the lifter arm is not in there correct?

Put it up on its side and take er apart to recheck it all.

I guess I'm gonna have to, the cover went on great so IDK what else it would be besides the lifter.

Yea, somthings not right the lifter should be more towards the rear.

I didnt even mess with the lifter so I assumed that it sayed the same but something clearly isnt right, theres some tension on the lifter but It always seemed like there was more.

So I took the cover off today and everything seemed in the right position I think its the darn cable so I might order one if not that then something got crappy with my clutch lever.
