you can get a-arms anywhere from $400-650 (non long travel ones), and shocks vary a lot
you can get works from $300 and up
and elkas and others for $550 and up (I recommend these much more, I got works dual rate shocks without rezzies a while ago and I was disappionted with them)

you could put 400ex a-arms and shocks on your quad for only like $150 off ebay, but you'll also need a special kit that will raise the top shock mount, from what i've heard the a-arms make you're 300 +1.5 on each side, if you do a search you'll find a few members on here have done this

if you go to the quadshop you can read more on elka shocks

I am planning to get 400ex a-arms and buy a set of works and have them set up for the a-arms. When you order your shocks be sure to have them set up correctly. This idea is pretty cheap and should work good.

if i buy works, i buy them for 400ex a-arms and do the fit the frame? do 400's a-arms fit on perfectly?

yeah the a-arms just bolt right up, when you buy the works you don't want to order a set of works for a 400ex because they'll be to long just like the stock shocks, when you get your a-arms on you'll need to measure the distance from the bottom mount on the 400ex a-arms to the top 300 shock mount, then they'll custom make you that size
