need some help please

So i just had a brand new HMF sport series slip on installed professionally. When I brought it home it won't start without the choke and won't idle. The quad is a 2003 400ex. He installed a 185 jet. The gas is about three months old. Will bad gas make it idle incorrectly. Or is there something else wrong. Is it jetted wrong? please help.

I think you are a little rich. I'm running a 162 main with my mods and 1 3/4 turns out and it runs great. Also a 42 pilot.
