What are some good rap songs?

05-17-2008, 02:59 PM
That might be the first time anyone has ever put the words, "Good" and "Rap Song" together in one sentence.

im not a general fan of the genre i used to listen to eminem alot when i was in 6th grade and act like i can relate (its hard growing up in rural TN) then kinda grew out of it, my main complaint about rap is that it all sounds the same and what words you do understand are about being in jail and making money (oxymoron) and shankin people and such for no apparent reason, so now im into the rock/alternative stuff there is today but recently came across a rap find called flobots - and its alright

Depends.

If you like lyrical rap, which will make any rock fans head explode(hence: lyrical.) try some Nas, Papoose, really any decent east coast stuff.
Something with a good beat : Lil Wayne, he's got like 100 songs/remix's out so he doesnt really get old.
Something with flow try some Biggie and such.
Want something old school, try some NWA, Rakim, KRS-1, etc.

something lyrical

We are just trying to help the blind. Now try beating on trash cans and then make up words that rhyme or semi words that rhyme like baby words here are a few examples crib, bling which is not a word but a visual thing and dat, erything, hur, like hot in hur. there are many and it is some times called poetry. maybe you can some how relate to the words of a rap song if so you are called a nig/wiga. if for some reason you think I'm harsh then it's possible you still got a titty in your mouth and your gun will only shoot if you hold it sideways. Now the best thing you can do now is to turn the music down remember you are a human/man fix you hat raise your seat up unload the wana be raper gun and just be a man with a mission. hope that was helpful and good luck

Like the original post said, if you're looking for stuff that "bangs" then I would suggest some Method Man, Tribe, Roots and a good one is Mobb Deep. I too, used to be into the whole rap scene, big subs, big amp, but now I'm sick of it. Subs and amp collecting dust....I don't know, once you have a big enough system,it all "bangs".

Now, I just love my HEAVY metal!!!

Wanna talk about "beating on a trash can", seems like you havent heard some of the rock that is out today..but I guess not being able to hear or understand the words at all is far better than words that rhyme, or almost rhyme...

lighten up and pull your head out of your ***, not every kid or young adult out there that listens to rap is going to end up robbing a gas station or stealing your wifes purse...

here is a little clue on that....no one but you wants to hear the stuff coming out of our car...i almost put a system in my truck once...then i realized how much i hated hearing other peoples music coming out of their vehicle...i don't like rap and i don't want to be forced to hear it at a stop light because you think it is cool to "bump"...i listen to older metal stuff like pantera, metallica, and danzig, but i get mad when i am at a gas station and the car next to me is blasting it...the people around you, who you show no respect for by forcing them to hear it, don't want to hear it...if they did, thir stereo would be "bumping" too...and another thing, when you drive by my house, i don't want to hear it or feel it...

This generation is no different then any other. We all tried to get away with what we could.

I do see this generation as being very disrespectful as compared to others, and thats easily seen every where you look.

I like a jammin system, and love bass, but when i am pumping gas and the kid at the next pump has his system cranked so the entire world can hear it....its lame. Cruisinga round on a friday night is another story, but like so much in life, it falls back to knowing when and where to let it loose, not screw the world attitudes.

i don't listen to rap much anymore, theres no point listening to music talking about drugs, murders and what not when you live in a town with almost no crime (other than little things such as shoplifting which you will find anywhere [just for the record i do not shoplift before you say how i shouldnt and blah blah blah... i know...]) and where there is fields all around you and what not just not the place to be saying how "ghetto" you are when there is no ghetto

yeah theres a dumb a** that lives in my county that his sound system is so loud he wears ear plugs and ear muffs while driving. It is so loud the ground 50 yards away actually shakes, car alarms go off when he passes, and its so powerful the body of his van cracked. Its annoying I dont care to hear someone elses music when it sucks especially. And I agree with you Pappy and this generation is pretty disrespectful compared to others.

I love loud music just as much as everyone else, and I agree about the gas pump scenario. Personally, I dont ever have to worry about people hearing my radio, since my truck doesnt have one.

People might get tired of hearing my exhaust, but oh well. I dont pull up at every stop light and free rev my engine like Johnny Ricer.:ermm:

And for those that feel they can blow their top, you might want to take a few days off from here because it is spring cleaning dont ya know:o You want to discuss stuff in a vulgar way then be gone.
