HAs anybody been out to Tower City lately.. I'm just wondering if I should bother because I used to go out there alot with my warrior but they place was rocky as hell and it really beat it up. I don't want to take my 450 out there unless they removed some of the rock. Also another question I have is do you need some member to say you can come up and ride. I want to go back with a friend but it says that you need a member say you can ride.. Is this true???

The place is still a mad rock fest.....Definitely not the best for a sport quad from my experience..

It is a membership only club now and as such I think the daily rider option is gone.

You're better off traveling a bit further to the Central PA area which has quite a few places to ride that will be easier on your atv.

Check the DCNR website and also if you live in No Jersey you can bolt across 80 to Snow Shoe Rails to Trails $15.00 for the year and a great place to ride!

www.ssrt.org

Hit me up if you want to ride in Central PA as I live here and always looking to ride with others

Peace

That looks like a decent place to ride but they want the bike registred which I haven't done but it's should be no big deal to get it done.. But in the pics I didn't see any sport quads.. Do they have any places that let you open it up??

I think they have a 25 mph speed limit as they have horses hikers bikers and us on the trails.

I just moved up here so haven't had a chance to hit these....I some how ended up riding illegally at part of the state forest near my home....

Theres another trail that runs 7 miles....about 45 minutes from me

And here is a page about that and others in the area...

http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/Forestry/atv/atvindex.aspx

I imagine these trails wouldn't be where you can rip but I don't know either way...

Is the any other members that are going to be up at tower city this Sat. 5/24/2008. We have a group of guys coming up and it's about 6 of us and I just heard that we can only have 3 guests along with the member. Member+ 3 guest.. that's means some of us can't ride. Is there going to be anybody else up there that can get us in.. HELP

i go up to tower city alot and i love it you need to go up there alot to learn the trails cause there are alot of good trails up there that arent rocky at all nice and smooth to haul *****. i still dont know all of the trails. i go up withtwo friends that have been going up for ten years or so and they know the almost all of the trails. as to the rocks yeah if you have a sport quad def need a swingarm skid pan as a just incase. the more i ride up there the more i think it and the better i get at dodging the rocks and nicer it is.

The unaccompanied guest thing might be true. I forgot to ask about it, but I ran into 2 guys in mini-buggies that had never been there before and couldn't find their way out of the campground area. I asked if they had someone to show em around and they said they were only there for the day to check the place out. They didn't know anyone there so I assumed they were there without a member.

Looked into the unaccompanied guest rumor. NOT TRUE!! If you are not a member you must go with a member. Daily guest fee is $40, weekend guest fee is $70.

Well, based on the TC rates link, and confirmed by an officer at the club, there is NO unaccompanied riders. I'm not calling anyone out here, but if you are not a member and you are paying $70 to ride by yourself, would you be willing to PM me with you name and possibly some proof that you did? This is one of the things that got the last club manager escorted off the property, and a violation of the agreement the club has with the landowner.

just so we are clear, we are talking about Rausch Creek Trail Riders and NOT the Rausch Creek MX Park which is right off the interstate, correct?
