Clutch Cable broken??

I was playing around with my clutch this morning and i heard this loud snap and the cable slacked off. I was wondering if maybe the cable had frayed or somthing because when i re ajusted the cable for the slack it worked again.:confused: thanks for any help

Replace it! I just broke mine today while riding...not cool. I'd almost consider it a wear item like brake pads. It should be $15-20 and takes a few minutes to install... I'm suprized how smoothy a new one is over an old burnt cruddy piece. Keep it clear of the header for sure!
