sparkplug help

i just got my 400 back from the shop abut a month ago and i guess i am runnng it too rich and i need a hoter burning plug that is what ppl have been telling me. when i first start it up it will smoke for about a minute and you can put your hand behind it and you smell it and it is just raw fuel i have fouled three sparkplugs since i got it back i am running a dpr9z NGK plug what should i do? i kow that it isnt oil the smoke is white

first try the std plug dpr8z and try it without the choke and go from there.
