what can you do to make a ninja 250 louder? mine is so quiet, sounds like crap and i wanna at least make it a little louder. i dont want to spend a lot on it like a new exhaust or something because im planning on getting a 600 next spring. anything simple you can do to make it a little louder?

and while were on the topic, is there anything eassy i can do to make it faster? like i said i dont want to spend a lot on it, but i know on quads, get a filter and take the lid off and that will help a little, or on 400exs remove the choke. is there anything simple like this on ninja 250s?

There's a reason you have a NINJA 250, it's a beginner bike and possibly the smartest bike to start out on. I applaud the fact you went with a 250 and didn't fall into the "gotta have a 600 or litre bike or I'm not cool" group. I've seen too many "new" riders pulled out of canyons here in AZ, new rider, too much bike syndrome.

Don't waste any time or money modding it, especially making it louder. Ride it for a year or two, get some good experience riding a sportbike and then jump to a 600.

try to avoid people pulling out infront of you too, or this happens. The damn road rash was the worst part. Well actually, totaling a brand new gsxr with 350 miles on it was pretty hard to swallow too.
