Which bearing housing should i get for my lonestar axle. Which one is better, i was looking at Dennis Kirk and they have the lonestar Twin row bearing kit. Is that one a good one. Which ones do you guys have that you race with. Which one will hold up the longest.

Thanks Duner

i have a lonestar dual row bearing carrier, the machined aluminum kind.in dennis kirk it is 199$,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i got mine from izzy burgard(maker of burgard chassis componets) for 135$ has a grease zerk to, looks nice and the holes work better than the stock slots on the adjustment part

I have a RPM Twin Row axle carrier. It is awsome. Very trick looking, and well made. Although it doesn't have a grease zerk. But why do you need a grease zerk, they are sealed bearings aren't they? RPM also makes the Millenium Axle carrier, which has tappered bearings.

a grease zerk let you slide it out and pump grease in , i think its cool

I would get a Lonestar since you have a lonestar axle.

How do you like your RPM axle? That`s all Duncan uses and I have never seen one break, or hear about one breaking. Is it chrome? How much did you pay and who did you get it from? Thanks.

I love my axle. Yes it's chrome and the sproket hub is billet aluminum. I've never heard of one break either. Their are two different sproket hubs you can get. I got the "Race" hub. the standard is good but the "Race" hub is thicker and stronger. FOr the standard i think the price is around $390, mine was $420 i think. I ordered it directly from RPM. They are very nice. Great service. The axle also comes with a lifetime warrenty. NO fine print either. If you break or bend the axle, no matter how, they will send you a new one.

There's tons of companies that make the tapered carriers,,I'll be getting one from speedracing....of course. Most tapered carriers run in the $220-$250 range.

Rico, why are you getting a Speedracing instead of a Durablue?

11-16-2001, 11:11 AM
I just like speedracings products,,,I've bought most of there products for the 400ex and like the quality. Not that I have something against durablue carriers I've always told myself when it's time for a new carrier I'm goin with speedracing.
If you look at my sig,,you'll see I like speedracings products.

Rico the Millinnium carrier made by RPM didn't say anything about the 400ex. only the 250r i saw and other different atv's but no 400ex. I think that is going to be he carrier i get because it has an 8000lb limit to it compared to the 500 lb limit for stock.

Thanks Duner
